By accessing or using Habeshabid ("we", "us", "the platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using the site.
Habeshabid runs lowest-unique-bid auctions. Users pay a fee to submit a number on an open auction; whoever submits the lowest number that no one else also submitted wins the auction and the associated product. This is a game of strategy based on participant choices, not a game of chance.
You must be at least 18 years old and provide a valid Ethiopian phone number to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your PIN confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
Each bid costs a set fee, deducted directly from your wallet. Wallet credit is purchased securely through Chapa. Bid fees are non-refundable once a bid is placed — they cover your entry into the draw, the same way a lottery or raffle ticket works, and are not refunded if you do not win. Unused wallet balance you have not yet spent on a bid may be raised with our support team on a case-by-case basis.
When an auction closes, the winner is calculated automatically: the lowest number that nobody else also submitted. A full, anonymized bid-frequency breakdown is published for every completed auction, so anyone can verify exactly how the result was calculated. An admin reviews the result before it's published, but does not alter the calculation.
Creating multiple accounts to manipulate results, attempting to attack or abuse the payment system, or using the platform for any unlawful purpose is prohibited. Accounts that violate this may be suspended or deleted without notice.
Habeshabid is provided "as is." While we work to keep the platform transparent and reliable, we are not liable for losses arising from service interruptions, payment-provider delays, or circumstances outside our control. Our liability in any case is limited to the total amount you have paid to us.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continuing to use the platform after an update means you accept the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ethiopia.
